The Nether Spirits are powerful human like beings under the control of Badamon.
Appearance[]
The spirits have the appearance of humanoid monks and wear similar style clothing. When they are first summoned in the ninth episode of the anime, their skin is a tannish color which gave them a closer appearance to humans. This was later changed to be a light blue/greenish color.
Personality[]
The spirits do not have much personality. They usually have expressionless faces, and their only vocal lines are groaning during meditations and spell summoning.
Plot[]
The War with Talpa[]
For majority of their appearances, the spirits are called on by either Badamon or Talpa for an attempt to destroy the Ronin Warriors or to conquer the Mortal Realm.
Armor and Powers[]
Not having any armor, the spirits mainly rely on their power and leader Badamon or Talpa. The spirits usually possess a great amount of power depending on the size of their gathering. They are shown being able to create objects like a Nether Bomb or tower like buildings and were even used to drain the powers of three of the Ronin armors. They were also able to boost the power of the Warlords and have a temporary hold on the Armor of Inferno.
As with many beings from the Nether World, they are affected by the powers of the Ancient's Staff and the Jewel of Life as they are quickly removed from an area when in its light and power.
Relationships[]
The Nether Spirits are known to obey only Badamon and Talpa. They show complete loyalty to the two and follow their every command without question or hesitation. However, they do seem to follow Badamon more as he is able to use their power more effectively and on a larger scale than Talpa.
